Im glad you found the blog helpful, ill ...Hi Joao,

Im glad you found the blog helpful, ill answer your questions as best it can.

1 - yes, 250ml ccan cover 5 films worth (thats 35mm or 120 as they have roughly the same surface area). Some people have extended beyond that by increasing development and belach times ut it is not recommended by the manufacturer.

2 - yes rotation shoul dbe constant. You should only stop when removing the tank to pour out/in chemicals. use your fastest speed setting if you are using a jobo system.

3 - when you pour in the developer it is recommended to give it 3 inversions and then tap it firmly a few times on a hard surface, this lets the developer cover the whole film and the tap dislodges any air bubbles that may be trapped and would cause uneven developing. if you were to put the tank straight into the rotary without any inversions then your developing may possibly end up uneven.

i hope that helps, if you come across any more question then just let me know.

DaveAnonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15827487025332785069noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8066654482804131294.post-38291979275286915882013-06-07T15:56:17.197+01:002013-06-07T15:56:17.197+01:00Hi Dave,

I found your post very helpful, but I have a couple of questions for you:

1- 250ml of solution can develop 5 films right? Except the stabilizer that gives you 15 films.
2- Your rotation process is constant? When you put the tank in the rotaru it is always rotation or do you have pauses?
3- Why don't you put the developer directly in to the tank when it is in the rotary, but instead inverse it 3 times by hand? It is to cover all the film with developer? I thought that if it was in the rotary it would cover al the film.

Thank you!
My best regards,

João CruzJoão Cruzhttp://www.cruzjoao.comnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8066654482804131294.post-55770581660038546682012-07-26T09:31:29.424+01:002012-07-26T09:31:29.424+01:00im currently obsessed with printing - havent done ...im currently obsessed with printing - havent done any c41 in a while, need to get out shooting some rolls. mmmm 6x7 does look delicious but ill never leave the square. the sq-a is a great camera. really sharp if you can be bothered using the mirror lockup and a cable release.Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15827487025332785069noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8066654482804131294.post-76194698182901704652012-07-26T00:45:04.497+01:002012-07-26T00:45:04.497+01:00Thanks! When I bought the GS-1 I was torn, as I love the square as well, and had been using a Yashica TLR and a Holga before, it was a hard long fought battle, and eventually I just forced myself to go to the 6x7 format. I love it, but now I'm wanting a SQ-A as well!Laidric Stevensonnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8066654482804131294.post-38948583232789245942012-07-25T20:26:42.747+01:002012-07-25T20:26:42.747+01:00hey didn't realise i was on their facebook - t...hey didn't realise i was on their facebook - that explains the sudden boost in site traffic. glad you like the blog! i am most jealous of your GS-1 but i do so love to shoot squares! have fun starting your own c41 - once you've done it you'll never go back, even if it can get frustrating at times.Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15827487025332785069noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8066654482804131294.post-18158629670924262542012-07-25T18:25:22.491+01:002012-07-25T18:25:22.491+01:00Hi Dave,
